Honour the Fire
but Untangle your Spaghetti
My name is Carina Mocanu and I am currently situated in Northern Ontario (after spending a good portion of my life in Southern Ontario). At the moment I am only offering virtual services for individuals and couples, but I am working towards offering group therapy sessions as well. These may focus on somatic awareness, mindfulness/meditation, ADHD skills, and whatever else is most requested.
I believe healing is sacred — and sometimes hilariously messy.
Beneath all the coping mechanisms, trauma responses, people-pleasing, shutdowns, and existential spirals, there is a Self that has always been whole. Therapy is the space where we peel back those layers with curiosity and care. A place to cry, laugh, swear, unravel — not to “fix” you, but to help you remember who you were before the world asked you to be someone else.
Sometimes that journey looks like deep presence and soul-deep truth.
And sometimes it's finally admitting you've been projecting onto your cat.
Both are welcome.
I hold space with compassion, curiosity, and the occasional bad joke, because I believe therapy should feel like a place where your nervous system can exhale. A space where you can untangle the spaghetti of your thoughts while honouring the fire that forged you. Where grief, joy, fear, humour, and hope can all sit at the same table — even if they don’t always get along.
Whether you’re feeling lost or just a little crispy around the edges, I’m here to walk with you through the messy middle — back toward a life that feels more like you.
